General sound issue
- Check the cable connection: Make sure the headset cable is fully inserted into the earcup and your device. Your headphones may have both a mic cable and an audio cable. Double check that you’re plugging the mic cable into the mic hole.
- Test the cable: If there are two cables, one of the connections can be bad. To test this, flip the cable. If you hear audio, then you can try replacing the cable.
- Try a different port: If you're using a PC, switch between front and rear audio jacks. On consoles, ensure you're using the correct TRRS cable.
- Check the control buttons on the headphone cord: If your headphones have control buttons on the cord, correctly push the volume and the play/pause buttons.
- Test on another device: Try plugging the headset into a phone or another computer to see if the sound issue persists. This helps rule out device-specific issues.
- Check that the device setting is on: Make sure your device recognizes the headphones.
- Inspect for physical damage: Look closely at the mic boom and cable for any visible wear or damage.
Buzzing or Rattling
It is possible that there is hair or other debris in the headphones. Hair that touches the driver can cause buzzing and rattling noises. All you may need to do is slowly remove the soft pad away. If there's hair, you can just pull the hair out. If there's no hair, it's possibly a bad driver.
Update or reinstall audio drivers: For PC users, installing the latest Realtek HD audio drivers and enabling mic noise suppression has helped others eliminate buzzing.
Channel imbalance
- Connect the headphone with another device. If there's no channel imbalance on the other device, then it's a device issue. If there's channel imbalance on all other devices, the headphones may need to be replaced.
- Make sure that the cord is completely plugged into your headphones.
Clipping
Volume maxed out can cause clipping. Try adjusting the volume at a reasonable level.
Bluetooth connection issue
- Make sure your device or PC has the latest bluetooth drivers installed.
- Check to see if any of your other connected devices suffer similar issues. To test this, plug the headphones into another device.
- Delete and repair the device to see if that improves the connection stability.
